What is an Empath? Empathy are tuned into the Invisible.

This is a generic term for someone whose energy boundaries aren’t as strong and rigid as others. They are more energetically open, sensitive and responsive to the feelings of others and automatically tune in and feel what a person is feeling without always intending to.

People like this tend to be very affected by the energy around them, people, places, animals ana objects. They are the sort of people that if they spend time with people who are depressed, they will leave feeling very low themselves and if someone around them is very upbeat, they will automatically feel more positive and upbeat themselves.

The answer to stopping this ‘energy leakage’ is not to become hard-hearted and close off. It’s simply to be aware of the energy of people around you and say to yourself,‘I do not wish to feel what they are feeling.’ Intention is everything here; the moment you make an intention not to absorb other people (or spirits) emotions, you will find things begin to change.

Having this sponge-like energy is a positive and a negative skill for Mediums and Physics. On one hand it is very important skill that they use to tune in and feel a person or spirits energy. On the other hand, they are sensitive and in tune with others, they can take their feelings on and become drained as a result of this.

Types of Mediumship

There are three types of Mediumship:

  • Mental Mediumship
  • Physical Mediumship
  • Trance/channel Mediumship

Mental Mediumship

This genre to summarise briefly:

  • A person is able to either see, ( either physically or in their mind’s eye)
  • Feel
  • Know or hear (either physically or in their mind)
  • Energies that are not perceivable in the physical world.

These skills and abilities are known as Clairvoyance (seeing), Clairaudience (hearing), or Clairsentience (feeling/knowing)

These senses are innate and a Medium becomes highly tuned in when they practice regularly and keep their connection to their guides to enable skills to be developed further.

Physical Mediumship

This is a more dramatic Mediumship. The Spirit can manifest physical phenomena to validate their presence through the physicality of a Physical Medium.

This physical phenomena can take the form of materialisation, transfiguration, direct voice, applets, and other types of physical movement and transformation around the Medium.

To be a Pnysical Medium, a certain type of physical energy is necessary, for this reason there are not a lot of Physical Mediums; because the impact of this work on their bodies, a great deal of dedication is needed in this field of work.

Trance/ Channel Medium

This type of Mediumship is where the person becomes an ‘open channel’; this done by withdrawing consciously and disconnecting from their mind. In this state a non-physical being can communicate through them, using their voice box and/or body.

Channelling/ healing

Healing is not a form of Mediumship, but it is also a way of channelling energy from one dimension to another.

The Medium/healer opens up their energy to receive and channel higher vibrational, healing energies through to the physical body of another person.

Many Mediums are also healers.

Platform Mediumship

This means that a Medium takes to a public stage  and brings through several spirits, one after the other, to give messages from loved ones in spirit. Sally Morgan and Tony Stockwell are examples of this.

This type of work is only for a few Mediums who have the right type of protection from spirit and help through their guides, along with the right physical and mental strength to do the work.

Do we need proof? ~ Why the closed, logical mind needs proof of the non-physical ~ skeptics of Mediumship

The simple response to this question is YES. We need proof of life after death, and other dimensions like heaven. We need this physical evidence, because whilst our souls occupy our physical bodies we use our mind for analysing such matters.

We are given our brains for our own protection, to use for planning, creatitivity and for remembrance. We are therefore protected to move forward in our lives.

With our mind we have the ability to understand the physical world around us. Our physical bodies we use to function and move around! Our mind is the necessary part of being a human being.

Unfortunately we have let our mind and ego control us. We use our minds to judge and criticise others, from this we make decision based upon what we think is right or wrong.

We generally overthink things, and create an anxious and worried state of mind, which we carry around in our thoughts, within our mind.

Open your mind

Because we overthink, analyse and judge other people, this creates a limited view of ourselves and our environments in which we live. What we cannot see we don’t understand, therefore many people need to see physical proof of Mediumship. This proof can help our logical minds to open up to the possibility of life after death. This will enable people to explore and absorb new ideas and beliefs.

Mediumship under scientific scrutiny.

It is interesting that many people struggle with what they cannot see, yet they have religious idols in which they cannot see either, yet they follow these beliefs sincerely and faithfully. So this brings about the question, ‘has there ever been scientific research into whether one of our Gods really do exist?‘ Controversial thought I know. (I do believe in God and appreciate everything he created for our existence.)

What I do know, there has been a huge amount of research undertaken upon psychics and mediums etc.. and a lot of their findings are indeed proven to be factual. With the gift on the internet, in particular YouTube, we have worldly connections from people who can document evidence of spiritual existence, for everyone to watch and see for themselves.

Dr Baischel has researched Mediumship as a scientific study, her initial thoughts:

Science is just a tool. It’s one way we learn how the universe works so it can be applied to anything. And there were a lot of people with strong opinions about what the capacity of mediums is. Can they report accurate and specific information? So I took the scientific method and applied it to Mediumship. Again, it’s just a tool you can apply to anything and so yes, it does go together because it’s something we don’t fully understand yet. So yes, (Mediumship) is the perfect thing for science to tackle because we don’t understand it.

From her research, some of her findings:

What we’ve found in all three of those ways that we look at scoring, we’ve achieved statistically significant positive results in a study done in 2007, and a replication study that we just published earlier in 2015. So the original study was 16 readings and this most recent study is 58. So a total of 74 readings in which within a controlled environment, mediums could report accurate and specific information about the deceased when no sensory information could be plausible for where they got their information.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. When the results above were posted online for everyone to see, many of the comments were scathing and judgemental as their logical thinking couldn’t accept these findings. Therefore most people condemned this scientific research, even though they wanted proof in order to believe.

This increasingly challenging and difficult world in which we live in, we continue to only believe logical thoughts and what’s deemed to be true to us, however, there’s so much more, so if you do believe then follow me, or join me as equals as we experience the spiritual realm together. A new adventure……… how exciting!!!

Mediumship explained “Spiritual people believe that when we die, we move from a physical, heavier vibration, to a non-physical higher vibrational state in another dimension, AND we still continue to exist in that new state.”

What is a Medium?

The word ‘Medium’ (or ‘Median’) simply means ‘in the middle’. A medium truly is a person who acts as the middleman/woman, you could say that they are an interpreter bringing messages from beings in other dimensions or worlds. A glorified secretary!

What’s the difference between a MEDIUM and a PSYCHIC?

Many people become confused with this terminology. It is often mistaken that they are as one, and the same. The difference between the terms are:

  • MEDIUM : is the one in the middle, between two worlds. They tune into and converse with beings from other non-physical dimensions.
  • PSYCHIC. :  is a person who can tune into the energy field of a living person, and intuitively perceive everything about their story by reading their energy fields, including their past, present and future.

Because we are conscious beings, we not only have our mind and ego, we also have our souls, our unconsciousness. Our soul is capable of perceiving things that are non-physical – not material or seeable.

This is what our intuition is. It’s the ability to ignore the mind while tuning into what is non-physical, like a radar, and pick up feelings, visions and ‘knowings’ about things we cannot see. If we learn to do this well, we can do this for ourselves to help both ourselves and other people in daily living.

Believing in yourself and how you intuitively ‘feel’, is just as important as believing in your thoughts generated by your ego, which can be both judgemental and limiting. To be able to practice this technique is a very important part of being a Medium.

There is more to life than the physical world. A Medium is simply tuning into energies which dwell in a non-physical world, which vibrate at a higher level and cannot be perceived by the human eye.

Everything is energy

It is commonly agreed in the spiritual realms, that everything is energy. This means that even your physical body, is actually vibrating at a certain rate.

Continuing with this idea, it would seem that if everything is energy, it therefore only changes from one state of being to another and cannot be destroyed.

Einstein was aware of this, he often spoke of this theory. The laws of physics have shown that even a cell or molecule is pure energy. The only difference between the physical and non-physical world is that the physical vibrates at a lower, denser or heavier rate than the non-physical world.

What we see with our eyes Is known as physical energy – its vibrations are at a denser rate, and is perceivable to the human eye.

Our bodies are our physical vessel, however, it doesn’t mean that we do not have a lighter invisible energy, which is held within our physical vessel. This invisible energy is simply our ‘consciousness’ or our ‘soul’.

After Life, what’s next?

It’s a spiritual belief that when your physical body dies, your ‘spirit’ automatically travels through a portal, to a dimension that has a refined energy, and new energy vibrations. This is what ‘going to heaven’ is – the shift from the physical realm to the non-physical realm.

Have you had a near-death experience?

Did you feel like you were floating, feeling light and free? In a place filled with pure love. No jealously, greed, or hatred, as we humans dwell upon, just calmness and peace.

So to bring me back to the beginning, ‘what is a Medium’; a Medium ‘tunes in’ and connects with energies from another state of non-physical existance and through their link they bring stories and messages from loved ones.

Bring peace and love to all.

Carry out this exercise as a simple meditation.

Light a candle to draw the angels closer.

Sit and breathe yourself into a safe and sacred space by taking deep breaths, slowly in and out.

Close your eyes and focus on the space between your brows.

Imagine you are facing north and call upon the Mighty Archangel Michael, guardian of the north and the element of fire, offering your services for the highest good of all. Repeat to Archangel Raphael, guardian of the east and the element of water. Now ‘face’ south to call upon Archangel Uriel, guardian of the south and element of earth, and finally west, to Archangel Gabriel, guardian of the west and the element of air.

Straighten your spine and image a bright light shining through the top of your head, down through your third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root and out through your feet into the earth. Visualise yourself floating above earth, which has a golden web of light covering the surface in a diamond grid.

Imagine an angelic being standing at every crossing and a golden, loving light coming from your heart and growing stronger as you add it to the grid, bringing peace and love to all.

When ready, sit back in your chair, breathe deeply, and rub your hands and stamp your feet to ground yourself. Carry on with your day.

Working through the whys and wherefores of emotions and taking time to develop meditative understanding are key elements of positive living.

In a trying situation, it is important to take a step back and examine your reactions to people or events. Find a quiet place to contemplate understanding.

Healing meditation – mantra

  • I can build patience and combat bitter emotions by understanding why I feel this way.
  • I can love better by understanding others and offering sensitive support.
  • I will embrace all things without judgement to enhance my understanding of their nature.

Why not give it a go, it only takes a few minutes.

Amid the clamour of the modern world, silence has a great therapeutic value.

Finding and appreciating silence will help you to banish painful thoughts or emotions.

Try the following meditation.

  • I will cultivate silence for its peace and grandeur.
  • I am connecting with silence.
  • I will let the silence block out bad thoughts.
  • Silence will help me to let go of painful thoughts and emotions.

If you wake up in the night worrying about a problem, turn your attention instead to the quiet darkness around you -or relish an experience more by living it silently, giving it your full attention.

Like everything in nature, your body will change with the seasons and years. ~ Unselfconsciousness healing meditation.

Learn to be comfortable with yourself at every age and accept the cycle of life. As you meditate, repeat these thoughts to yourself.

  • I am a small wave in the ocean of existence.
  • I will change with the tides and will accept these changes.
  • I am gradually being absorbed into the ocean of existence.
  • All is water, nothing more.

If you are inclined to compare yourself unfavourably with others, think of your wholeness and who you really are. Surrendering yourself to time’s passage without resentment is an important part of healing meditation.

Great unhappiness or pain can be mitigated by reflective meditation.

By this, I mean, putting the problem into perspective and accepting the reality of a situation. This mantra can help you reflect and accept.

  • I will reflect on all the gifts life has given me.
  • I will also reflect quietly on any pain or unhappiness.
  • My suffering is in the past – a place to learn from.
  • I breathe in – and, as I breathe out, bad thoughts leave me.
  • I accept myself – I am where I am right now.

This reflective exercise will help you to put the past behind you and to move forward. Use it to unburden yourself of any major problem that has held you back.
